The bed is sealed with a safe, water-based lacquer, providing a velvety finish that is protected from scratches and stains. The headboard back is flush, recessed, fitted, and screwed, ensuring the bed does not wobble.

The KING BED DIMENSIONS are as follows: 59"H x 87.5"D x 81"W, with the headboard measuring 59"H (top of arch) x 48"H (bottom of arch) x 3.25"D x 81"W, and the footboard measuring 22.25" -30.5"H x 3.25"D x 81"W. The interior area for the mattress is 81"D x 77"W. The finials (4) are 7"H x 3"D x 3"W, and the distance from the top to the bottom of the headboard (not including the legs) is 38.75"H. The distance from the top of the slats to the bottom of the headboard is 7.5"H, with a clearance of 8.75"H under the headboard and 6"H under the footboard.

The side rails (2) measure 7"H x 1.5"D x 81"W, with a clearance of 10.5" underneath. The cross slats, attached with screws (4), measure .75"H x 2.75"D. The feet are 5"H x 3.25" in diameter, and the total weight of the bed is 138 lbs.

Adjustable protective levelers on the feet ensure even stability, and a mattress and box spring are required (not included).
